Summer Fun

Tahoe summer and fall includes:  rafting the Truckee river, beach and lake time soaking in the sun, biking and hiking the trails, shopping, dining with lake views, kayaking, jet skiing, boating, parasailing, horse back riding, skating/ice skating, swimming...almost anything you can think of!

Outdoor fun around the cabin...
Miles of trails out our back door.
Short hikes, long hikes, biking, picnics...
Like to go off road?  The OHV trail begins at the end of our street for dirt bikes, ATVs, 4 wheel drives, etc.  But, it does not run behind our house so our place stays quiet!!!
Huge front deck with room to dine a dozen of your closest friends!
Beautiful, quiet back deck with hot tub, BBQ and forest views.  Take a soak in the hot tub, grab a glass of wine and turn off all of the lights to be dazzled by the quanitity of stars!
Order a private massage on our back deck!!
Enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe just down the hill from our cabin (less than a mile)
Tahoe City is great for shopping, dining, entertainment, pottery making, historical museums, and more (5 minutes away)
Tahoe City Commons Beach is a great spot to lay on the beach, play in the shallow waters, rent a kayak or other water craft, let the kids play on the large playground, enjoy the free concerts each Sunday and the Farmer's Markets at the or in the park or nearby at Tahoe City elementary school. (5 minutes away)
Or, try Tahoe Vista or Kings Beach for the larger, sprawling beaches.  They also have every rental you could desire and many shops and restaurants.  Don't miss the summer events such as free concerts on the beach and arts and crafts fairs in Kings Beach.  (10 minutes away)
How about rafting down the Truckee river?  That is always a crowd-pleaser!
Or visit the famous Squaw Valley Olympic village and take the cable car to High Camp for swimming, jacuzzi, ice skating and dining.
